{ A rich chesnut, dappled with white dots; entered behind her brother. Her lips twisted into a smile, a scheming look in her eyes. She moved with more grace then her muscle-headed brother, she was vicious, the 'little kid that never gets caught', smart for her age, well smarter than her brother at least. The stubby thing of her tail flicked against her leg, her nape stretching her head to her brother. "Stop."
She had stopped quickly after she had spoken, her crania tilting sideways with quiet befuddlement.
}

[[Dark brown figure, covered in white dots, looking as if he was spaltered with paint. Spindly legs brought the young colt onto the beach, tiny hooves making holes in the grainy sand. Auddits laced back, he continued his movement, taking interest in the crashing of waves against the soft ground. He could learn to like it here, at least, for now. He grumbled at his sister's command, he understood two rules, listen to his sister, and fight those you can defeat. Knobby legs halted the young colt, inches away from the line of the tide. The soft muzzle of white and dark brown reaching to water, auds pricking forward for a few mere seconds. ]]

Through the mists of the cove her royal majesty approached, her russet coat damp with the thick fog. Hoofbeats were only marginally audible on the soft grains beneath her hooves, and her breath was silent, though spirals of steam rose from her nostrils in the chill. Eyes of ebony watched the two young ones, noting the obvious rebellious air about them.

Welcome, my children... do you have no home?

Her voice rose lilting above the cold water, floating to their ears before her presence was revealed by the rolling mists. She stepped from the cloak of the shadows to stand quietly nearby.

PostSubject: "ready or not here i come" (Adoption Request for One or Two?)   Thu Apr 10, 2008 8:05 pm

The pale brute had been wandering about, allowing himself to grow more accustomed to the unfamiliarity of his new surroundings. His first steps, if you will, had carried him directly to his current residence of the Bridge, the home he had no intention of leaving. Being the first to taint the grounds had its drawbacks of course, not many wandered around empty land. Boredom had carried Reject this far from home.

His cold eyes gleamed with interest as he watched the scene unfold, first the two young miniatures, then the smiling pixie princess. Tilting his heavy skull to one side, he studied the layout. Frozen for a moment, merely insignificance in time, our ghostly demon watched, his cold gaze piercing and intelligent. Then, as if the momentarily spell was broken, as if Reject had shattered the tying bonds, he stirred from his silent obsession, waking from that living slumber. Each carefully placed step jarred his very bones as he approached the cautious trio.

It was so nice…they hadn’t even made it past introductions just yet. He was just in time. "Hello, my dears." He said softly, his cold harks rubbing coarsely across the silence. It did not bother him that the pair seemed inseparable. After all, all good things had to come to an end."I am Devil'sss Reject, Reject if you will. Your names?" There was something odd about his seductive purr, the hissing sounds drawn out in a foreign lilt. Of course, Reject was not native to this place. Of course he would sound different.

Now the only matter was whether or not either of the delicate little younglings wanted to shadow him home. Reject silenced himself, returning to surveying the goings on with an indicative air. It would soon be decided. Maybe the two little ones would even have some say in it. His piercing gaze caught the little flicka captive, taking in every little thing, memorizing her. She was quite different then those he had met. She was considerably more demanding.

Reject's thin lips twisted into a smile as if he hoped the gesture would somehow calm the two young equines. In all reality, the action would perhaps scare them more. Seeing his heavy features contort into the motion he was not completely familiarly with was extremely...terrifying. After a moment, he seemed to realize that the action could not help and he fell into silence for a moment, realizing that raising the pair was going to be more difficult then he thought.

Shifting his heavy frame uneasily, the pale demon shook his roman skull in wonder. Stretching each slender limb, Reject eased his weight back a step to give the two a little more room. Attempting to calm any fears they might have had been banished from the question about five minutes ago, when he first arrived. He spoke in his cool tones, although his chords adopted a softer, more gruff nature. "I hope you two will accompany to my home. I cannot replace your parents, but I can try to teach you."

He didn't add that they could call him Reject, not Dad, if they so wished. This scene seemed to be tearing down his own arrgant selfishness.
